SYRACUSE - Robert F. "Bob" Wise, 71, of Milford, died at 7:52 p.m. July 20, 2008, in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Milford.
He was born Oct. 28, 1936, in New Paris, to Arthur F. and Charlotte W. Umbaugh Wise. On Aug. 18, 1957, in Nappanee, he married Sally E. Stouder, who survives.
He was a 1954 Milford High School graduate and worked at Thermogas, New Paris, for 25 years, retiring April 1, 1996. He was a member of Milford Christian Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Also surviving are three daughters: Sherrill S. (and spouse Rod) Hamman, Mentone; Angela J. (and spouse Jeff) Clement, Merrillville; and Victoria L. Cole, Syracuse; a son, Scott F. (and spouse Kaylon) Wise, Pierceton; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and four sisters: Joan (and spouse Lawrence) Schutz, Bremen; Mary Alice (and spouse Louis) Stump, New Paris; Nancy (and spouse Robert) Wemple, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Janice Yoder, Wakarusa. He was preceded in death by a sister and a grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Milford Christian Church, Milford, with the Rev. Stephen Leininger officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
