Robert C. Deckys, 39, of Warsaw, died at 6:30 p.m. May 15, 2013, in his residence, after an extended illness. He was born Aug. 8, 1973, in LaGrange, Ill., to Albert and Karen Kroc Deckys. On Nov. 13, 2005, in Warsaw, he married Dallas Mchargue, who survives. Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he enjoyed his time outside; playing golf at Racoon Run, Warsaw; art, especially pencil sketches; and was extremely good hearted. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1993 and attended Vincennes University. He worked as a machine operator for DeGood Dimensional Concepts, North Webster, and other various orthopedic locations in Warsaw. He was known as a loving father. Also surviving are a son, Kayden Deckys, Warsaw; his parents; two sisters, Debra (and spouse Brad) Hren and Laura (and spouse Kevin) Hazlett, all of Warsaw; three nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be private.
