Robert 'Bob' Jessop Beer

MILFORD – Robert “Bob” Jessop Beer, 69, of Milford, died at 10:53 p.m. April 5, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Aug. 8, 1943, to Harry L. and D. Lucille Jessop Beer. On Sept. 11, 1965, he married Jacquelyn Craft, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Milford, he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1962 and was president and CEO of Beer’s & Jessop’s Co. Inc.
He was an Eagle Scout and he served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1964-70. He was precinct committeeman for Van Buren Township and a member of the Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals, where he served as the chairman for many years.
He was past patron of Kosciusko Chapter 169 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Kosciusko Masonic Lodge 418 F&AM. He was a member of Scottish Rite and belonged to the Mizpah Shine, Fort Wayne.
Also surviving are eight children: Amy (and spouse Slade) Smith, Yorktown; Robert Jessop II (and spouse Bobbi) Beer, North Webster; Victoria Lynn Richardson,   Christian William (and spouse Lisa) Beer, John Harry (and spouse Tabatha) Beer and Nicholas Aaron Beer, all of Milford; Thomas Edwin (and spouse Trisha) Beer, Syracuse; and Abby (and spouse Caleb) Gish, Larwill; 14 grandchildren; and a brother, Theodore (and spouse Nancy) Beer, Leesburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford. A graveside service will follow at Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
