There are multiple ways to get in contact with 3rd District Congressman Jim Banks and/or his staff. In a letter to the editor published Monday, Rose Baist of Warsaw stated, “Our new congressman, Jim Banks, has not updated his web page, nor has he scheduled any town halls. He has not even opened a Warsaw office. What is he doing with his budget? Aren’t Warsaw residents important? We have questions and we need answers.” After a request for a response to Baist’s letter, Banks’ office replied, “Congressman Banks' website is updated on a regular basis with press releases, photos, and information about his work on behalf of the Third District. The Congressman has a district office in Fort Wayne open to all constituents, and members of his staff hold mobile office hours in communities across northeast Indiana four times a week.” Banks’ office said mobile office hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon the first Thursday of every month at Warsaw City Hall. Hours are announced on Banks' website and promoted to local media. In addition, the congressman has held dozens of constituent meetings, an open house at his Fort Wayne district office and other events. Additional events will be scheduled when the House of Representatives is not in session, the office said. Banks and his staff can always be reached by calling 202-225-4436 (Washington office) or 260-702-4750 (Fort Wayne office). His website is banks.house.gov.
