This was written by Mr. Coons, a missionary to Central America, stated that of the three religions that believe in God; Islam, Jewish and Christianity is only 36 percent in the world.
It is interesting and causes one to think why are the religions of God so low at 36 percent. What is wrong with churches today? Are we reaching out to people of today? What has caused this decline?
Do we need another great awaken in our world?
Jesus set the example for He went to the people. The greatest sermon ever preached was the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapter 5-7).
Jesus sent His disciples out to the Roman Empire of that time. They told the people of God and brought Christianity to the world by going to the people, whatever race, creed and lifestyle they lived in.
The found of our church was John Wesley, who rode horseback over England and preached to the poor, for two or three hours, and did not pass a collection plate around.
It is interesting that John Wesley did what he did without a microphone, computer and a nice office.
We need another great awakening. We need another John Wesley.
