County Jail Bookings

The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

- 11:58 a.m. Monday – Kevin Schmucker, 19, of 13856 N. CR 500W, Nappanee, arrested for minor possession/consumption of alcohol. Bond: $350. 

- 9:15 p.m. Monday – Randall Grindle, 30, of 306 W. Wayne St., Pierceton, arrested for battery. Bond: $500. 

- 11:44 p.m. Monday – Bryan Stamper, 30, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, arrested for maintaining a common nuisance.  $300. 

Property Damage Accidents

- 9:05 p.m. Friday – Intersection of Ind. 13N and CR 650E, Pierceton. One vehicle struck a deer. Driver: Steven Allen, 62, Noblesville. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

- 4:10 a.m. Saturday – Intersection of CRs 300W and 200N, Warsaw. One vehicle struck a deer. Driver: Leslie Jennings, 45, of 2931 E. Joshua Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

- 8:05 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of U.S. 30W and CR 500W, Etna Green. One vehicle struck a deer. Driver: Debra White, 58, of 3791 N. Ind. 19, Etna Green. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD. 

- 8:43 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of Ind. 13N and CR 150N, Pierceton. One vehicle struck a deer. Driver: Mike Flenar, 57, of 3075 S. CR 350E, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

- 11:30 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of County Farm Road and CR 400S, Warsaw. One vehicle struck an opossum. Driver: Thomas Williams, 21, of 6243 A St., Rochester. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD. 

- 11:45 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of East Wawasee Drive and Crow Road, Syracuse. One vehicle, registered to Tiffany Arndt, 9649 E. CR 1050N, Cromwell, was stolen and struck a tree. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. KCSD.

- 7:53 a.m. Sunday  – Intersection of CRs 925E and 300N, North Webster. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Jeffrey Reavis, 52, Columbia City; Doug Reavis, 43, Columbia City. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD. 

- 7:35 p.m. Sunday – Intersection of Ind. 25W and CR 900W, Mentone. One vehicle struck a dog. Driver: Melissa Thompson, 31, Fort Wayne. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD. 

- 5:45 a.m. Monday – Intersection of CRs 100N and 650E, Pierceton. One vehicle struck a deer. Driver: Delores Quillen, 41, of 7141 E. CR 400N, Leesburg. KCSD.

- 5:40 p.m. Monday – 1335 Ind. 15N, Warsaw.  Vehicle struck a fire hydrant and a utility pole, causing the utility pole to strike another vehicle. Drivers: Billy Shepherd, 63, of 15592 Cedar Road, Bourbon; Tamela Ingle, 54, of 2689 S. Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

- 9:31 a.m. Monday – A man reported a burglary in the 800 block of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. WPD.
