The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 12:11 p.m. Monday – Danay Elayne Bowyer, 24, of 2165 Heritage Drive, Rochester, arrested for possession of a narcotic. Bond: $5,250.

• 3:19 p.m. Monday – Nyelah Mickilah Hayes, 35, of 2109 E. Jefferson St., #2, Warsaw, arrested for probation violation – felony. No bond listed.

• 4 p.m. Monday – Johnathan Deshone Matthews, 31, Harvey, Ill., arrested for failure to appear – original charge misdemeanor. Bond: $400.

• 4:23 p.m. Monday – Chase Oneil Schwinnen, 26, of 1692 E. CR 200N, #12, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear – original charge misdemeanor. Bond: $400.

• 5:35 p.m. Monday – Neeley Jo Schwinnen, 47, of 1692 E. CR 200N, #12, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear – original charge misdemeanor. Bond: $5,000.

• 8:16 p.m. Monday – Amanda Grace Sroufe, 38, of 402 W. Main St., Silver Lake, arrested for check deception. No bond listed.

• 11:31 p.m. Monday – Miriam Rangel, 39, of 12225 S. CR 500W, Silver Lake, arrested for driving while suspended with a prior. Bond: $450.

Accidents

• 5:58 a.m. Saturday – North CR 300E, 1,000 feet north of East CR 750N, Leesburg. SUV left road and hit a tree. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. Driver: Kole F. Adams, 22, Tecumseh Drive, Nappanee. Injuries:  Adams complained of pain to the abdomen and pelvis areas; Carter Adams, 2, same address, had bruising to the head. Both were taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department investigated.

• 12:06 p.m. Sunday – Ind. 13N, 1,000 feet south of East CR 850N, North Webster. SUV hit deer. Driver: Jozef Urbas, 67, Fort Mill, S.C. Injury: Urbas was checked at the scene but refused medical attention. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. KCSD.

• 5:27 p.m. Friday – Intersection of North Ind. 13 and East CR 400N, Leesburg. Two-car collision. Drivers: Kristen M. Coy, 29, EMS B62 Lane, Warsaw; Harold L. Galloway, 75, East CR 500N, North Webster. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSD.

• 9:14 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of South Packerton Road and East CR 225S, Warsaw. Car-SUV collision. Drivers: John K. Marhefka, 20, Mansfield, Ohio; Megan M. Stevenson, 16, East CR 250S, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSD.

• 1 a.m. Sunday – 438 W. Railroad Street, Etna Green. SUV went off road and hit a parked  pickup registered to David D. Gill, West Railroad Street, Etna Green. Driver: Brandon S. Parker, 36, West Center Street, Bourbon. Driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. KCSD.

• 12:48 p.m. Sunday – 112 Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Car hit brick wall of Lakeland Villa Apartments, Kinny Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Bradley A. Michaelsen, 43, Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:40 p.m. Sunday – U.S. 30, 700 feet west of North CR 150W, Warsaw. SUV hit deer. Driver: Denis Lopez Rodriguez, 54, Columbus, Ohio. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.

• 7:12 a.m. Monday – South Ind. 15, 1,500 feet north of South CR 300S, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Julia A. Grothouse, 52, South Woodland Hills Drive East, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 7:40 a.m. Monday – Lapoint Drive, 35 feet west of Camelot Trail, Syracuse. Pickup-garbage truck collision. Drivers: Fernando Mejia, 58, East Lapoint Drive, Milford; Tyree A. Jones, 31, Mishawaka. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 5:46 p.m. Monday – 1200 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Car-SUV collision. Drivers: Joshua B. Hawthorne, 38, Anchorage Road, Warsaw; Lisa R. McKee, 57, East Ind. 14, Silver Lake. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.



Incidents

• 9:31 a.m. Friday – A domestic battery was reported in the 300 block of Pieta Street, Warsaw. WPD.

 • 8:45 p.m. Friday – A person was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior in the 1100 block of North Lake View Avenue, Syracuse. Syracuse Police Department investigated.

• 10:38 p.m. Friday – A subject in the 600 block of North Parker Street, Warsaw, was placed in 24-hour emergency detention. WPD.

• Midnight Saturday – A woman in the 600 block of East Camp Mack Road, Milford, reported she was being stalked by a man. KCSD.

• 2:08 a.m. Saturday – A car traveling 79 mph in a 45-mph zone was stopped in the 100 block of U.S. 30, Warsaw. The driver was arrested for resisting arrest with a vehicle. KCSD.

• 2:33 a.m. Saturday – Illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported in the 200 block of Edgewater Drive, Syracuse. SPD.
