Prove It

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

My letter is prompted after reading Steven Hite's "No Hypocrisy" rebuttal to Holly Fancil's letter.

So let's play fair here, Mr. Hite, I won't call you a hypocrite, but I will call you what I feel is more accurate - that you're merely misinformed.

So verbatim, you say, "Homosexuals actively persecute and berate anyone who deems their behavior as deviant and sinful." So I'm calling on you to prove it to me. If you change my mind, it will save my Christian soul. What example do you have of a homosexual "actively persecuting" someone who makes an anti-gay statement? Or would just my disagreeing with your opinion be considered an "active persecution" of your character?

I await your reply with breathless anticipation, please let me know that I could be so wrong.
