As I watched the last night of government House proceedings, the night before the health care bill passed, I was shocked. Too bad the debates were kept secret behind closed doors. On CSPAN our Republican representatives were giving the facts about the content of this enormously complex 2,700-page bill. For the first time I heard the dark side of this bill - the unsustainable costs to our tax-paying citizens. Our president has brought only the rosy side of the package. He addresses our nation weekly on the Internet with his speeches (I call them propaganda).
It's not rosy for all of us. If you've worked hard all your life, spent your money wisely, saved and paid for your kids to get technical training or attend college, and saved for your retirement age so that the government won't have to take care of you -then you'll be punished. The Obama plan takes your money and passes it out to those who will support him and his liberal agenda, and to those who will receive your money in entitlement programs and therefore re-elect him. Most of the hidden taxes, penalties and costs will come into play gradually, most after he completes his two terms.
Perhaps we are his stepping stone, because I don't believe he really cares about what happens to America. Did you listen to his speeches given at the World Summit which he formed with leaders from all over the world last week? This man seeks world recognition and power. He can't seem to get enough of himself.
King Obama and Queen Pelosi are drunk with power in Washington, D.C., and spending our tax money as if it's not going to run out.
Limited government and fiscal responsibility used to be the foundation of our government.
