Pro-Choice Pro-Murder

Editor, Times-Union:

God creates babies from the moment of conception and God's creation sets the foundation for all life. God's Word is clear: "You shall not murder." (Ex. 20:13)

Let me encourage you with regards to the election on the topic of life. Obama is a double-talker. Here are a few quotes from Obama. Out of one side of his mouth he has said, "I may be opposed to abortion for religious reasons, but if I seek to pass a law banning the practice, I cannot simply point to the teachings of my church or evoke God's will." Out of the other side of his mouth Obama has said, "If God has spoken, then followers are expected to live up to God's edicts, regardless of the consequences." Obviously, based on his stance on abortion, Obama is not willing "to live up to God's edicts." Obama goes on to say, "To base one's life on such uncompromising commitments may be sublime, but to base our policy-making on such commitments would be a dangerous thing." I beg to differ - to not base our policies on such commitments is a dangerous thing. Obama is trusting in his own compromising of God's Word. This is complete doubt of God's Word. God says such a man "is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does." (James 1:8)

Some of you have said Obama is not pro-abortion, but rather he is pro-choice. If you hold to this, you are being deceived. Obama is pro-abortion and therefore pro-murder. If you truly believe in the Word of God and its inerrancy, then let me encourage you not to vote for Obama who is blatantly pro-murder of innocent children.

I will admit there is not a candidate who perfectly matches my values, but for this issue alone - John McCain's stance against the murder of innocent human beings, I will vote for him. This does not mean ignoring the issues of poverty (the Bible says we will always have the poor - Matt. 26:11), disease, human rights (killing humans is human rights?), religious freedoms and environmental issues. However, if we kill children and support those who do, then we have no foundation for which to defend poverty, disease, religious freedoms, etc. because the foundation of life is gone. Fifty million children have been killed since 1973. One of these precious little ones might have been the one to have led our country out of its economic crisis today and also defeated terrorism.

Let me encourage you, if you believe in life and that it begins at conception, please consider these things and vote according to the truth of God's Word. God does not lie and those who support this murder of children will be held accountable. "Therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you." (Ez. 35:6)
