PIERCETON — The Pierceton Chamber of Commerce is anticipating 2016 will be the year of its biggest antique show. The Heritage Gathering Primitives and Antique Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pierceton Elementary School. The show will feature primitive handcrafters and antique dealers in 46 booth spaces. All vendors are juried, promoting the “best primitives and antiques,” according to the chamber. Vendors from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio will attend the show. The event will feature special sessions from two artisans. At 11 a.m., Kerry Hippensteel will instruct visitors how to decorate with greenery. Hippensteel, North Manchester, is a professional landscaper and antique dealer with an eye for design, the release states. At 1 p.m., Sally Reuter from Pure and Simple Woolens, Warsaw, will teach the art of needlefelting with her design of a needlefelted tree ornament. A few kits will be available for purchase. Fresh-popped kettle corn will be available throughout the day. The chamber will be selling sloppy joes, nachos, chips, soft drinks and coffee in its refreshment stand. In addition to the antiques show, the chamber says shops along Ind. 13 in Pierceton are decked out for Christmas and will have many unique gift ideas.
