Wow. What a political ride we’ve had in the last year. From the national to local stories, it’s obvious we need to start holding our public officials to a higher standard. We should demand no more hiding behind closed doors or email voting or erasing of tapes.
The mayor, clerk-treasurer and one councilman need to be reminded they work for us. They’ve had many years to get things right; many of them have had too long.
That being said, I do find it refreshing that Ron Shoemaker and Jerry Frush are willing to do the work of the people.
