PIERCETON – A Pierceton man is facing charges after police say he slammed a woman’s head against a toilet.
Christopher Wayne Burnworth, 36, of 8280 E. U.S. 30, #29A, is facing felony charges of battery causing serious injury and domestic battery in the presence of a child.
Burnworth was arrested Saturday and formal charges were filed Tuesday.
Pierceton police spoke with the woman on Saturday after a relative called saying his sister had been attacked.

Burnworth grabbed the woman, dragged her down the hallway and slammed her head into a toilet, according to court records.
The mother of the woman told police she took the woman to Parkview Hospital, where medical technicians removed porcelain from her head, and said she had a concussion, court records state.
Burnworth is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $11,000 bond.
