Paul Norman Summy, 72, of 3385 South CR 275E, Warsaw, died at 11:59 p.m. April 19, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born April 23, 1936, in South Bend, to Paul and Mara Vandermark Summy. On Feb. 11, 1955, in Burket, he married Willodean Woods, who survives.
He moved to Palestine early in life and was a foundry worker for Dalton Foundry for 50 years. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the 25-year Dalton Club. He was an avid deer hunter.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen (and spouse Gregg) Foster, Mentone and Peggy (and spouse Glen) Tharp, Warsaw; a sister, Mary Rose, Mentone; five grandchildren: Kiley, Aaron and Joshua Foster, all of Mentone; and Sarah and Lamar Tharp, both of Warsaw; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Summy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Rod Mayer officiaiting. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
