NORTH WEBSTER — Paul McCammon, 84, North Webster, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Tidewell Hospice in Ellenton, Fla.
He was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Paxton, to Harold and Elizabeth Pekelnisky McCammon.
He graduated in 1951 from Carlisle High School and attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, where he received his B.A. and master’s degrees.
He was married on May 26, 1956, in Carlisle, to Marilyn I. Abrams, who survives.
He was a United States Army veteran and worked most of his life as a school teacher. He was previously employed at Frankfort High School and retired from Huntington North High School after 30 years.
He moved to the North Webster area in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn McCammon, North Webster; son, Mark (Sarah) McCammon, Columbia City; two grandchildren, Spencer and Lindsey McCammon, Columbia City; a sister, Martha (Jerry) Blice, Terre Haute; and a niece, Amie (Marc) Baldus, St. Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500 N, North Webster.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery near Kimmell.
