Pastor Russell Dean Spangle, 52, of 5828 Skipton Court, Noblesville, and formerly of Silver Lake, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 2 a.m. May 18, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1957, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, to Duane and Becky Manns Spangle, who survive in Claypool. In 1976, in Silver Lake, he married Brenda Lynn England, who survives.
He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1976. He worked at Spangle Construction until 1990, and was associate pastor at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw, from 1990-98. In 1998, he commenced pastoring at Faith Family Church, Sheridan, and served until his passing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; three daughters: Cassandra Spangle, Lubbock, Texas; Melanie (and spouse Bobby) Morris, Levelland, Texas; and Katherine Spangle, Noblesville; four grandchildren: Bo, Britt, Bryan and Maddison; two brothers, Bruce (and spouse Lori) Spangle, Claypool, and Brian (and spouse Tamie) Spangle, Leesburg; and two sisters, Cheryl (and spouse Larry) Gibson, North Manchester, and Dana (and spouse Gale) Owens, Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw, with Pastor John B. Lowe officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
