BOURBON – Pamela Sue Boyer, 61, Richmond, Va., and formerly of Etna Green, passed away at 3:34 p.m. Nov. 9, 2014, in Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, with her children and brother by her side.
She was born Jan. 4, 1953, in Warsaw, to Robert and Betty Zimpelman Burnett. She was married to David Boyer, who survives.
She lived in Germany for a time and then made Virginia her home for the past 30-plus years. She lived her life to the fullest and had planned to retire from her position as a chief of family, morale, welfare and recreation, Department of the Army, Defense Logistics Agency in Richmond. She loved golfing, spending time with her grandchildren, Kayla and Brady Boyer. She loved her dachshund, Sammie, and spending time with family. In her spare time she sold Mary Kay makeup and tended to her cows, Laverne and Shirley.
She leaves behind her mother, Betty (and spouse Rex) Zimpelman; two sons, Ryan (and spouse Elizabeth) and Eric Boyer; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Brady Boyer, all of the Virginia/Maryland area; three sisters and two brothers: Beverley (and spouse Chip) Wallstead, Syracuse; Tina (and spouse Ken) Blackford, Tippecanoe; Zane Burnett, Mentone; Kerri (and spouse Tracy) Yoder, Goshen; Jim (and spouse Ratchaya), Springfield, Va.; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Jo Lyn Burnett.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton-Clemons Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
