The opioid problem in America is out of control — beyond control.
It affects every segment of society. It is easy to get (heroin). You can buy cheap — like candy — on the street.
The recent “60 Minutes” segment was revealing. The three major drug companies (the middle men) lobby Congress to take the requirements off, and they agreed. Those in the enforcement part of the government also are lobbyists for the drug companies.
The drug problem in America has doubled. It has also doubled in Kosciusko County — just like alcohol. People are killed on the highway from people high on drugs.
Mr. Kyle Dukes (now running for county sheriff) has offered his solution, but he is fighting a battle with one arm tied beyond his back. It is now a losing battle since Congress has left the flood gates open.
I realize this is doom and gloom, but also reality.
