One-Party System

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

Well, I see the anti-U.S. labor candidate is still in, at least temporarily. It was certainly sad to see the lineup for the Democratic Party. That's why we need public-supported elections. Also, a media fairness doctrine.

There wasn't any to speak of. So the Republicrats ran with nearly no opposition. We don't even have a two-party system anymore. Now it's boiled down to the one corporate-party system.

It serves the Democrats right because they started betraying their working-class roots a long time ago. It became the party of unlimited illegal immigration, the champion of weird causes, money-making wars are OK, and occupying other countries is just peachy. They became the weak "me too" party.

The problem is not that the general public like or believe in the present representative in the 3rd district. But they simply just don't even bother to vote. If the incumbent had to face all the working-class voters in the district he never would've made it past his first term.

Transnational corporations, military-industrial complex, crooked bankers, cheap labor advocates, you can sleep well tonight or at least until November. Your loving ditto-head draft dodger squeezed through again.

I'll be waiting patiently for my first invitation to the debates. I'll be watching the regional media ignore Tom Metzger's challenge. I have heard no mention on the corporate media so far. I know exactly how the system works and how the corporate media operate. If you ever had a fifth column in this country it is the corporate media. The Republican corporation has a strangle hold on public information in this region. The Social Marxists control the national TV outlets. Legs Diamond vs. Al Capone.

Whether you vote for Tom Metzger or not, working people, your future looks pretty dim. Like I said before, quoting my grandmother, "Tommy, if you don't listen you'll have to feel." Quit kissing the hand that's robbing you.
