Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Lou Mediano was involved in a single-vehicle accident this morning. According to Sgt. Chad Hill, public information officer for KCSD, at about 5:28 a.m. today deputies responded to the area of Loon Lake in regards to a potential intoxicated driver with the vehicle stuck in a yard. After two deputies had arrived on scene, radio communication was lost with the officers. Mediano was responding to the last known location of the officers when his vehicle left the roadway in a curve at CRs 900S and 675W. Mediano was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with a cut to his head and was listed in stable condition.
