Editor, Times-Union: If President Obama told you a skunk was a kitty, would you pet it? His policies and beliefs stink so much that about the only way they could be accepted would be if you had no sense of smell. One of Obama’s skunks was the stimulus package supposedly to be spent on our infrastructure. Evidently paying off unions and those that controlled cities was more important than repairing roads and bridges. It reminds me of what happened in New Orleans when the government thought it was more important to spend money on fountains than on dykes and levies. Katrina revealed the foolishness. Another skunk is the Obama economy. Do you believe the unemployment rate is only 5 percent if over 94 million Americans aren’t working? The stock market has lost nearly all the funny money Washington invested in it since the beginning of the year partly because our economy is dependent on China’s economy. Wal-Mart needs to close over 150 stores in America and companies that do business in China are hurting because China’s economy is suffering. Obama is probably hoping the American economy doesn’t collapse before November because he will be blamed and Democrats could lose big. Obama’s foreign policy is another skunk that will keep stinking for years to come. When Obama entered the White House, Iraq was a struggling democracy and ISIS didn’t exist. Condi Rice was an able Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton has made America less respected and the world more dangerous. Obama has himself to blame for people thinking he is a Muslim since he doesn’t admit that Islam is a reason for terrorism since the west is considered an enemy. Christians are being killed in Africa and the Middle East and Obama is usually silent. If people Obama considers refugees commit murder in America, he will be to blame. Obama has done so many things that stink that the White House may require years to air out. The way the lame-brain media acts around Obama, I have to believe it’s blind, deaf and especially dumb. It is hoped that once the press extracts its head from Obama’s rear that it will be able to give an honest appraisal of the man after he leaves office. Obama wants to hang around after he leaves office to make sure what he has done as president isn’t rescinded. Not all he has done has been bad. But enough of it stinks that it may require people wearing gas masks to get near it to get rid of it. Rick Badman Warsaw
