Obama Wrong

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
This letter is dedicated to those who voted for Obama, past and present.
From Thomas Jefferson, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. (Jefferson also founded the Republican party.) Freedom is never free. It is always purchased at great cost.”
From our founding fathers upon writing the Constitution, “Each religion has a form of government, and Christianity astonished the world by establishing self-government ... the foundation stone of the United States of America.” The Constitution was designed to perpetuate a Christian order. A new ideal: Freedom of religion, not from religion.
“The good (in the U.S.) would never have come into being without the blessing and the power of Jesus Christ. I know how embarrassing this matter is to politicians. I know how embarrassing this matter is to politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen and cynics, but, whatever these honored men think, the irrefutable truth is that the soul of America is at its best and highest, Christian.”
The above played a huge part in the Supreme Court Decision of 1892-Church of the Holy Trinity V. United States. The Bible and the downing of the American dream walked hand in hand. Socialist B.O. believes in none of the above. It’s evident even to children in this land.
From Calvin Coolidge, “The foundation of our society and our government rest so much on the teaching of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.”
The Bible has never threatened America. It has helped to build it. “To remove God from this country will destroy it.” At the Democratic Convention a few weeks ago. God was booed. Obama smiled.
With the prior immoral presidency of Bill Clinton, it was refreshing to have President Bush who openly prayed. With President Obama, the great American Dream has turned into a nightmare.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Freedom is the last best hope of earth.” He said, Earth, folks not just the United States. “Freedom means supremacy of human rights everywhere. Our support goes to those who struggle to gain those rights or keep them.” From Franklin D. Roosevelt.
“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Benjamin Franklin.
“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” John F. Kennedy. Jan. 20, 1961.
Every man and woman stands equal in the polling booth. In all good conscience a vote for Obama is against every freedom we have, but America gives you the right to do so.
To those of you whom I shall not name, people who live in glass houses should never throw stones. I do not pose judgement on any person, but I have the right as an American to post judgement on their liberal freedom killing views, and I have the right to do so under the first amendment. God save America and may she ever grow under the hand of the almighty.
