Obama Dangerous

Editor, Times-Union:
How do you go from knowing you just elected “The One”, as Oprah shouted to the crowd “He’s the One”, to the moment of truth when you suddenly realize you’ve actually just put Freddy Krueger in the White House? You finally wake up and realize all the fancy promises were phony. All the rallies full of smiles and swagger were just for effect.

How do you wrap your head around the sickening feeling that you’ve just been taken? The whole campaign was just a scam, a circus sideshow to get your vote. And now you’re stuck with one of the most corrupt and dysfunctional administrations in history. You are seeing, by bits and pieces, that Obama isn’t who you thought he was. And those surrounding him have questionable credentials and more questionable backgrounds.

Now you’re left with the empty feeling of wondering why nothing makes sense anymore. You tell yourself that maybe it really isn’t that bad. After all, this is America and we don’t have power-hungry dictators. Then, something else hits the fan and you learn that Obamacare really will withhold care and you will just be a dollar and cents number on a calculator. Then, another child has her lunch taken from her and she is forced to eat an alternative meal that the government deems appropriate. You watch another cross come down in America. And another freedom is stripped away as this government is convinced that it not only has the right to run your life and make choices for you, but also to determine what your “rights” are. It wants you to believe that all should have the same things in life, that no one dare excel or have more than another, that the old playing field must always be equal and fair, and that everyone must do their part.  Except, of course for the 47 percent who give nothing but continue to suck life from the rest of us.

Just remember one thing as we approach the 2012 election.  When history repeats itself, the price of the lesson always goes up.
