Editor, Times-Union: It is never my intention to get into an argument with someone who might have a different view point, in this column. The Times-Union is fair and prints almost everything sent in.
I want to go on record as saying that I did not make a statement to the effect that I had been misrepresented by the Times-Union. It was reported in the October 13 article, by Daniel Riordan, that I thought I had been misrepresented by Times-Union. This was not said. I did not even mention the Times-Union. How could I be misrepresented by letters I wrote?
I will send out a challenge to Ron Truex, to come up with the misinformation he is talking about, though. Anything I sent in to letters to the editor, was not personal opinion. I always asked the people, who might be reading these letters, to educate themselves on the issues presented. Why would I want to send in information that could not be verified?
