NORTH WEBSTER – Norma J. “Jolene” Blanchard, 82, of Goshen, died at 10:05 p.m. June 15, 2013, in Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Coloma, Mich. She was previously married to Lawrence E. McNutt, and in 1971 she married Clarence R. Gross, who preceded her in 1994. On April 5, 2004 in Middleburg, Fla., she married Ervin H. Blanchard, who survives. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1949. She formerly worked at Walter Hagen Golf Co., Grand Rapids, Mich; was the food, garden, radio and television editor for the Peninsula Herald, Monterey, Calif., for several years; and was a private secretary for many years. She moved to Goshen in 2009 from Columbia City (Loon Lake) and formerly lived in North Webster; Marion, Ohio; and Florida. Also surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ann Heiser, Avon, Conn.; a son, Glenn McNutt, Marion, Ohio; two stepsons, David (and spouse Kay) Blanchard, Maumee, Ohio, and Jerry Blanchard, Goshen; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two half sisters. Private graveside services were today at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
