NORTH MANCHESTER – Nora Owens, 83, of Silver Lake, died at 5:03 a.m. Sept. 21, 2011, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Blue Ridge, Ky., to George and Mary Slone Bradford. On Aug. 21, 1945, she married Virgil Owens, who died April 1, 2001.
She was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake.
Surviving are two sons, Delmar (and spouse Julie) Owens and Daniel Owens (and Cindy Miller), all of Silver Lake; four daughters: Mary (and spouse Harold) Enyeart, North Manchester; Jean Joseph, Mims, Fla.; Joyce (and spouse Ronald) Greer, Silver Lake; and Rose (and spouse J. Leonard) Litwiniec, Deleon Springs, Fla.; three brothers, Minefee (and spouse Betty) Bradford, Roann, and Ellis Bradford and Paul (and spouse Juanita) Bradford, all of Silver Lake; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake, with Pastor Frank Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
