One of the best services that I've been to and I haven't missed many. Since it was on a Sunday morning the attendance wasn't as many as usual , but pretty good considering.
Photographers Gary Nieter and Al Disbro, among others, were there.
I anxiously awaited the article in the paper of Monday where a great couple of Gary's shots were in with a short notice underneath.
Wasn't a reporter there to tell in detail about the fine speech that Ken did, the great team of WHX ROTC members that did the presentation of the flag colors (a group that started six years ago ... finally), the two prestigious awards presented by John Sadler, never mentioned! One, a veteran whose name I didn't catch in the presentation so looked forward to finding it out, particularly since he's also from Pierceton and said he graduated with my son, Pat. Another was with a group of ladies who quilt comforters that are presented to vets, as I understand it, periodically.
