Editor, Times-Union: I live in an area behind Wal-Mart, and have observed many times that there are semi trucks ignoring no parking signs on the street that runs between Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. Also, believe it or not, for the last four days there has been a large supply of roof rafters (probably for new construction behind Wal-Mart) parked just a short distance from a no parking sign. When trucks park near the entrance it causes a harmful safety hazard. Cars heading east cannot see traffic coming out the driveway of Lowe’s, nor can traffic coming from Lowe’s see cars coming from the east. Am I wrong to believe that if no parking signs are placed on a city street that to park there is illegal? My question is, why isn’t the law being enforced in this matter? Perhaps this does not apply to trucks parked along this busy street. If that is the case I apologize for this letter. Ron Bradford Warsaw
