Editor, Times-Union: House Democrats tried to impeach the president from their hate and jealousy of him. Democrats are now on self-destruction mode over their misguided agenda. What’s the upside when you run down a successful president? When you don’t talk about the issues and seek answers to problems in our country, instead all the Democrats care about is running down a great president. Democrats have no platform, ideals, answers, improvements or how to build on what President Trump has done that alone would help them in 2020, but I’m sure not going to tell them. I hope they just keep shooting themselves in the foot (figuratively), of course. Biden wants to get rid of 10 million energy jobs, Bernie endorses communism, Warren - free this, free that. President Trump is gaining a large amount of black, Hispanic and independent support, growing by the day. And Mitt Romney is a disgrace to himself, his family and to everybody else. I sure hope he enjoys the last term in Utah as a Republican. Now after he voted with Democrats, I’m not even sure they want him on their side. Rick Ellis Leesburg
