New Swim Club In WarsawA swim club has been launched in Warsaw. Warsaw Aquatic Club is an incorporated nonprofit and an authorized USA Swimming Club operating under the Indiana Swimming local swim committee. The club will be run by a board of directors consisting of volunteer swim parents to ensure focus on the development of each swimmer and a competitive team at a high level.
The first parents meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Warsaw Community Pool on the Warsaw Community High School campus. The slate of officers for the board of directors will be voted on, along with additional business items.
“The coaching staff is looking forward to building a strong competitive swim program in the Warsaw area - focusing on stroke techniques, positive attitude, self-esteem, dedication and positive motivation,” said coach Chris LaLonde.
LaLonde will have a calendar of events available and share information about what the new club will look like. Information will also be available regarding financial obligations and registration.
All are welcome to join Warsaw Aquatic Club, which was formed by swim parents and LaLonde to create a high-level performance program that will focus on swimmers reaching their full potential.
Tryouts will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the pool.
