SYRACUSE - Myra E. Bloomfield, 85, of Syracuse, died at 8:55 p.m. March 29, 2008, in her residence.
She was born June 5, 1922, in Shevlin, Minn., to Carl and Emma Serma Hendrickson. She married Samuel Bloomfield, who died in March 2008.
Moving to this area from Minnesota more than 50 years ago, she worked in the nursing field for more than 30 years. She was a member of The Vineyard Community Church and a former member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis Tinkey, Nipoma, Calif., and Byron Tinkey, Sturgis, Mich.; a daughter, Carleen Peachey, Syracuse; a brother, Devern Hendrickson, International Falls, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Kent Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Syracuse.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
