Warsaw Community Schools Board of Trustees Tuesday unanimously approved Jeremy Mullins to take over the board seat vacated by Jennifer Tandy. Mullins, Winona Lake, is the commercial manager for Louis Dreyfus. Mullins was one of three candidates to be interviewed by the board for the position. “All three candidates were qualified. It was a tough decision,” said board member Heather Reichenbach. The other two school board candidates were Chad James and Alina Willig. Mullins will serve the two years remaining on Tandy's term. Tandy resigned effective Oct.1 due to moving to San Diego for her husband Brad’s new job. Board members said they were impressed with Mullins’ passion and desire to help all children in the school system success. Mullins was not at the board work session Tuesday. The next school board meeting is Monday.
