Milford Man Jailed In Alleged Dog-Shooting Incident

MILFORD – A Milford man is in jail after law enforcement officers say he killed a hunting dog in March. Christopher Pollock, 37 of 13196 N CR 200W, Milford, was charged with one count of killing a domestic animal, a level 6 felony, and one count of criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor. According to a news release issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the shooting happened on March 5 when Jason Miller of Nappanee was hunting coyotes with his American Fox Hound on a nearby property. The dog chased a coyote onto Pollock’s property. Pollock shot the dog with a .22 caliber rifle multiple times at close range, according to the news release. DNR officials executed an arrest warrant Friday, and Pollock was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.?He was released after posting bond.
