NORTH MANCHESTER - Mildred M. Newell, 89, of Silver Lake, died at 10:55 a.m. Jan. 4, 2008, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
She was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Kosciusko County, to Edwin and Glen Overman Fisher. On May 17, 1941, she married John Newell, who died Sept. 17, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a 1936 Silver Lake High School graduate.
Surviving are a son, Rick Jon Newell, Silver Lake; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Frank Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
