MENTONE – In a short Mentone Town Council meeting Monday night, there was one item of old business, one new item and a reminder. In old business, the council signed the lease agreement with American Tower for the tower at the wastewater plant. The town will receive $20,000 and continue getting monthly payments. In new business, Utilities Superintendent Josh Shephard noted that leaf pickup was complete and asked residents to put leaves in bags from here on out. To maintain the integrity of newly renovated handicapped-accessible ramps and bump strips, the council reminded residents not to use full-sized vehicles with snow plows attached to clear snow from town sidewalks.
