RENSSELAER - Melanie Bradley, 24, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and formerly of Wolcott, passed away suddenly Dec. 17, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids.
She was born Aug. 17, 1986, in Kokomo, to Jeff and Linda Hendrix Ticen, who survive in Wolcott. On Aug. 11, 2007, at Burr Oak Mennonite Church, Rensselaer, she married Eric Bradley, who survives.
After high school graduation she attended Grace College, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2009. She and her husband moved to Grand Rapids 1-1/2 years ago, where she was the pianist for the Grand Rapids Ballet Co. She also gave private piano lessons. She was a member of Hope Church of the Brethren, Freeport Mich.; the Women of the Word Bible study and formerly the Grace College Chamber Singers.
Also surviving are her 11-month-old son, Neil, Grand Rapids; her father- and mother-in-law, Ernie and Janice Bradley, Liberty Mills; her siblings, Benjamin, Rebekah, Aaron, Ginny, Joshua, Lydia and Angela Ticen, all of Wolcott; maternal grandparents, William J. and Helen Ticen, Culver; paternal grandparents, Richard and Gloria Hendrix, Sedalia; and extended family members, Brian and Debbie Voss.
Services will be at 10 a.m. (CST) Thursday at Burr Oak Mennonite Church, Rensselaer with Pastor Phillip Leichty officiating. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. (CST) Wednesday at the church.
Jackson Funeral Home, 250 N. McKinley Ave., Rensselaer, is in charge of arrangements.
