Maxine Slone, 78, of 2245 E. CR 175N, Warsaw, died at 6:18 p.m. March 31, 2008, in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 23, 1929, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Willie and Lila Slone Shepherd. On Nov. 17, 1948, she married Raymond Slone, who died in 2002.
She lived in Warsaw for more than 60 years and retired from Zimmer.
Surviving are a son, Ronald (and spouse Suzanne) Slone, Fort Wayne; three grandsons, Nathan, Adam and Matt Rosengarten; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Ava Dianne Rosengarten; and two sisters, Wanda Cooper and Roberta Bradford, both of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Mae Harris and Stella Hindman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Bryan Koorey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
