Maryanne Arden, 74, of 602 Chestnut St., Winona Lake, passed away at 10:45 a.m. July 24, 2010, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John Daniel and Mary Petrinka Arden.

She graduated from Lincoln High School, Cleveland, Ohio, and attended a business school taking secretarial courses. She came to the Warsaw/Winona Lake area from Cleveland in 1961. She worked at the Free Methodist Headquarters for 11 years; Ken Anderson Films for eight years; AmeriKan for five years; and most recently she worked as an administrative secretary for World Missionary Press, New Paris, for the past 15 years. She played the organ at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, for the Sunday morning service in the chapel. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists, loved music and had always been in Christian work.

She will be lovingly remembered by her three sisters, Joan Bender, Barbara (and spouse Joseph) Adame and Susan Arden, all of Cleveland; a niece, Jennifer Adame, Cleveland; and a nephew, Richard Adame, and his son Ryan, both of The Woodlands, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Chaplain Glenn Byers officiating. The procession will leave from Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Grace Village Retirement Community, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, with Chaplain Glenn Byers officiating.
