NORTH WEBSTER – Maryann Hummel, 87, Warsaw, passed away at 5:17 p.m. July 5, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born July 23, 1928, in Milford, to Roy and Anna Lee Crowl Pinkerton. On Sept. 1, 1950, in Milford, she married James A. “Jim” Hummel, who preceded her in death May 1, 1990. She graduated in 1946 from Milford High School and lived all of her life in the Milford, Leesburg and Warsaw areas. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm for many years. She was a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren, Milford. Surviving are five daughters: Barbara (and spouse Bill) Wright, Nappanee; Debra Hagerlin, Lori (and spouse Don) Stoneburner and Karen (and spouse Richard) Bozarth, all of Warsaw; Lisa (and spouse Jeff) Hall, Leesburg; eight grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Ruth Marie Schell, Hazel Pinkerton, June Schermerhorn, Agnes Brower and Betty Morehouse; and two brothers, James Pinkerton and Ralph Junior Pinkerton. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Pastor Mike Beezley, Clunette United Methodist Church, officiating.
