Mary M. Higgins, 79, of Warsaw, died at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 29, 2012, in Parkview Oaks, Columbia City.
She was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Fairmount, to Robert H. and Lillian O. Rhoades Davis.
She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1949. On Nov. 12, 1961, in Warsaw, she married Richard B. Higgins, who survives in Warsaw.
She was a homemaker. She has been a Kosciusko resident for 51 years. She was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church, American Cancer Society, Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hat Society and was active in card clubs.
Also surviving are a daughter, Suzan L. Higgins, Warsaw; a son, David E. Higgins, Winona Lake; two grandsons, Joshua B., Warsaw, and Benjamin E., Winona Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Martha Ross, Services will be at 1 p.m. March 31 at Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw, with Pastors Gale Janofski and Andy Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at a later date.
