AKRON — Mary Kathleen Dooley, 69, Disko, passed at 4:15 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at her residence.
She was born April 26, 1949, in Grundy, Va., to Clarence and Clemie Lester Bailey. She was married on Oct. 24, 1965, in Virginia, to James Fred Dooley. He survives.
She was a homemaker and also helped others by doing home health care. She enjoyed looking up at the stars in the sky. She loved fishing, gardening and taking care of children.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Dooley, Disko; son, Freddie (wife Kathy) Dooley, Young America; daughter, Carol (husband Randy) Shelburne, Rochester; grandchildren: Jennifer, Brandy, Dexter and Dale; five great-grandchildren; brothers: George; Pastor Luther (wife Annie) and Gerald (wife Judy) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billie Joe Dooley; daughter, Melissa K. Dooley; and brothers, Willie and Doug Bailey.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
