Marjorie “Marge” A. Boardman, 92, of Bourbon, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Warsaw, with her daughters by her side.
Marge was born in Gaffney, S.C., on Jan. 13, 1933, to Molly and Belton Fowler. She moved to Indiana in 1951 when she married Jack Boardman in Wabash. In 1963, they moved to Bourbon. Marge was known for her strong personality, and her love of clothes, shoes and purses. She owned the Tree House clothing store in Bourbon for many years and retired from Lake City Bank of Warsaw as a customer service representative.
Marge is survived by her four children: Mollie (Vern) Hurd, of Warsaw; Helen (Tony) Tribalski, of Etna Green; Howard (Tammie) Boardman, of Bourbon; Julie Boardman, of Warsaw; her 11 grandchildren: Craig, Nathan, Blanca, Thaine, Amber, Ashley, Aubrey, Lesley, Kristen, Nic and Keegan; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Boardman; her son, Jim Boardman; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and all five of her siblings in South Carolina.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19 from noon to 2 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bishop Mark Cottrill officiating. The burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Memorial donations may be made in Marge’s memory to the United Pentecostal Church, 201 N. Bourbon St., Bourbon, IN 46504.
