Marcella “Marcy” Elaine Regier, 65, of Winona Lake, passed away at 9:15 p.m. April 17, 2013, at her residence. She was born June 13, 1947, in Omaha, Neb., to John and Bertha Zielke Harder. On Sept. 9, 1972, in Hutchinson, Kan., she married Melvin “Mel” Ray Regier, who survives. A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 35 years, she was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and Moms In Touch, Warsaw. She was a 1965 graduate of Central Christian High School, Hutchinson, and received a bachelor’s degree from Grace Bible Institute, Omaha, Neb., in 1970. She moved to Winona Lake in 1978, and worked at Grace College, Winona Lake, as an administrative assistant in the dean of students office from 1995-1999. She dedicated her life to her family and was known for her radiant smile and her mission as a prayer warrior. She will also be lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Sarah (and spouse Aaron) Scantlen, Winona Lake; Liz (and spouse Tim) Sprankle, Warsaw; Bekah (and spouse Jeremy) Miller, Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren: Mahlia, Josiah and Hezekiah Scantlen; Claire and Margot Sprankle. Also surviving are one brother: Loren (and spouse Maylene) Harder, Perryton, Texas; and her sister: Velma Bartlow, Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters. Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, officiated by Pastor John Teevan and assisted by Pastor Tim Sprankle. A private graveside service will be Monday in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
