Manchester Swim Teams Lose At Home To Lead Roundup

NORTH MANCHESTER — The Manchester boys and girls swim teams each suffered losses to the visiting Huntington North Vikings Thursday.
In the boys’ 80-68 loss, Manchester did get individual wins from Ross Messer (100 free, 100 breast) and Ashton Bolinger (100 back).
Getting individual wins for Manchester in the girls’ 90-78 loss were Rachel Brandenburg (50 free) and Andrea Roesner (100 fly).
The Manchester girls will be at the Warsaw Sectional prelims Thursday, while the boys next meet is Feb. 4 at home against Columbia City.

The Wawasee gymnastics team got a 94.15-92.75 home win over Lakeland Thursday evening. Wawasee’s Emily Allen won the all-around with 32.4 points, finishing second in three events (vault, beam, floor). The 2-3 Lady Warriors are at East Noble Monday night.

At home against Huntington North Thursday, the Warsaw gymnastics team lost 97.6-96.05. In the team loss, Warsaw’s Abbi Baum did garner the most all-around points, with 33.5, winning on the beam and uneven bars, while finishing second in floor exercise. Warsaw is at Marion Wednesday.
