Manchester Athletics Presents Fall Sports AwardsNORTH MANCHESTER – Fall sports awards were presented by the athletic department at Manchester High School Thursday evening.

One student-athlete from each sport was selected to receive the Rotary Mental Attitude award. Winners were: Andrew McAtee, football; Jirni Cripe, girls soccer; Konrad Borgmann, boys soccer; Kyle Shepherd, boys tennis; Alicia Fields, volleyball; Samantha Kissell, girls golf; Breyanna Richey, cheerleading; Anna Markham, girls cross country; and Montgomery Pattison, boys cross country.

Each sport also named a winner of the Squire Award. They were: Nathan Ozenbaugh, football; Kiera Stacy, girls soccer, Nathan Self, boys soccer; Logan Parrett, boys tennis; Emma West, volleyball; Kelsey Eichenauer, girls golf; Karrigan Yard, cheerleading; Jaelyn Webb, girls cross country; and Ben Reichenbach, boys cross country.

Devin Marcum won football’s offensive scout team award, and Trescott Duffy won the defensive scout team award. Delton Moore won the spcial teams award, with Marcum and Johnny England winning C-team leadership awards.

Carsyn Howard was the Golden Boot award winner on the girls soccer team, and Stacy was named top defender. Bailey Mooney was the heart and hustle winner.

Caleb Stout won the Golden Boot for boys soccer, Self was tabbed most valuable player and Michael Learned won the 12th man award. Florian Schreier won the junior varsity Golden Boot, and Timothy Maser was the JV most improved.

Parker Wagoner was the Winning Edge award winner on the boys tennis team, and Spence Trick was tabbed Top Gun. Kam Lester was most improved and Grant Strobel was JV most improved.

Sydney Day was offensive MVP for the volleyball team, Kara Kline was defensive MVP and Eva Bazzoni won the coach’s award. On the JV team, Andrea Kahn was the heart and hustle award winner and Lydia Greer was mental coach’s award. C-team awards went to Lily Cornelius for heart and hustle and Abby Boyd was most improved.

Alissa Bickerstaff was the most improved on the girls golf team, and Madyson Ulrey won the award for best accuracy. Eichenauer had the fewest putts per nine holes.

Mya Carter was the leadership award winner on the cheerleading squad. Karli Fluke was the most spirited and Madison Gatchel on best cheer heart. On theJV team Carissa Edwards won for best jumps amnd Jenna Miller was the best attitude award winner.

Katie Barker was the most improved runner on the girls corss country team, and Webb was the most valuable runner. Torina Runkel was recognized as most improved.

Lance Bennett was the most valuable runner on the boys cross country team. Reece Adamiec was most improved, and Carter bedke was most promising newcomer.
