Mamie Lucille Wood, 96, Lakeland Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Good Shepherd Hospice, Lakeland.
She was born Aug. 28, 1921, to Oliver and Winnie Bentz in South Whitley. She was united in marriage July 21, 1944, to Orville Wood.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Fryer, and son-in-law Wayne Fryer, Lakeland; and a sister, Mabel Reed, South Whitley.
She was preceded in death by husband Orville Wood, son Mark K. Wood, two sisters and three brothers.
She was employed at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
