Malakai Michael Garrett, 2, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, in Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 6, 2015, in Fort Wayne, to Lantz Garrett and Amber Unverzagt Garrett.
Malakai was such a very energetic little boy and full of life who loved to play with his trucks and cars. He also loved riding his Power Wheels with his sister Kaydence, as the two were inseparable. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing around. His little laughs and loves were very contagious.
Surviving are his parents, Lantz Garrett, Warsaw, and Amber Garrett, Fort Wayne, and his sisters, Kaydence Hull, Fort Wayne, and Beretta Garrett, Warsaw. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Chante (Jeremy) Harter and Jeremy (Carolyn) Garner, all of Warsaw, and maternal grandparents Dale (Jean) Unverzagt, Fort Wayne; along with great-grandparents: Margaret Easterly, Fort Wayne; Rose Boyd, Fort Wayne; Robert Boyd, Paulding, Ohio; and Jesus Salas, Antwerp, Ohio. He also is survived by 12 aunts and eight uncles.
Services will be private.
