AKRON – Lynne M. Severns, 60, Akron, passed away at 10:30 a.m. May 26, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 22, 1954, in South Bend, to Howard A. and Grace A. Ammons Scanlon. On Oct. 18, 1980, in Rochester, she married Roger D. Severns, who survives in Akron. She was a nurse at the Logansport State Hospital. She was a graduate of LaSalle High School, South Bend, as well as Ivy Tech and Ancilla colleges. Also surviving are a son, Shawn (and spouse Brandi) Severns, Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Ava Severns, Indianapolis; and a sister, Marcia Elsbury, Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her parents. Following her wishes, there will be no services held.
