Lowell L. Sharp, 85, died at 1:30 a.m. July 9, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City, where he resided.
He was born March 7, 1924, in Syracuse, to Fielden and Muriel Baker Sharp. On June 7, 1947, he married Vivian Rowe, who died in 2005.
A lifetime Warsaw and Columbia City area resident, he was a printer at United Telephone Co. for 18 years and was a past member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Kim Miller, South Whitley; a son, Lowell F. Sharp, Fort Wayne; a brother, Ron Sharp, Syracuse; a sister, Shirley Gardner, Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a son-in-law, Michael Miller.
No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
