Love Thy Neighbor

Editor, Times-Union:
Mrs. Kubacki,
Someone once asked Jesus, “Master, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
Jesus said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and the great commandment. And the second is like unto this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hangeth the whole Law and the Prophets.”  (Matthew 22:36-40, GNV).
As a Christian, I try to do my best to uphold his words, so I don’t understand why anyone would say nasty things about what you wrote, and if someone were to, I’d be one of the first to defend you as a person because I respect you as a person. And I shall pray for those who persecute you because as Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies: bless them that curse you: do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which hurt you, and persecute you.”  (Matthew 5:44, GNV). However, if anyone thinks about trying to say anything mean to you, I hope they remember, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you again.” (Matthew 7:1-2, GNV).
